The cleaning of the PVD vacuum coating product

Why cleaning? 

Before the vacuum process, the workpiece or material should be cleaned to remove the 

pollutants from their surface; 

it’s also very necessary of vacuum parts to do surface cleaning,because the gas and 

steam sources caused by the pollutants will not only make the vacuum system unable 

to obtain the required true space, but also because of the existence of pollutants, 

it will affect the strength and sealing performance of the vacuum parts joint.


What are pollutants? 

Pollutants can be defined as "any kinds of useless materials or energy". 

According to the physical state of pollutants, they can be divided into solid, 

gas and liquid, which exist in the form of membrane or granular. 

According to its chemical characteristics,it can be in ionic state or 

covalent state, can be inorganic or organic matter.


The cleaning work in the early stage can reduce many troubles and 

avoid the occurrence of many small problems, which has a very 

positive effect on the working efficiency and the coating quality of 

vacuum coating machine. 

It can greatly improve the working stability of all vessel walls and 

other component surfaces in the vacuum system under various working conditions. 

The purpose of cleaning these pollutants is to improve the working 

stability of the machine, so that the work can be carried out more smoothly.


The product cleaning is not once and for all. 

Protective measures should be taken to minimize the contact between the product 

and dust and moisture in the air, resulting in secondary pollution. 

In the process of processing products, hand socks should be worn throughout 

the whole process to prevent fingerprints and sweat stains. 

Before the final waiting for entering the furnace, the products should be placed 

in a dry and dust-free closed environment to ensure the high cleanliness of the products.
