Vacuum evaporation coating

Vacuum evaporation coating is a technology to obtain film by heating and evaporating

a substance on the surface of substrate material under vacuum condition.

The evaporated material is called evaporation material.

Evaporation coating was first proposed by M.Faraday in 1857.

After more than 100 years of development, it has become one of the mainstream coating technologies.

Vacuum evaporation coating system generally consists of three parts: vacuum chamber,

evaporation source or evaporation heating device,

the placement of substrate and heating device for substrate.

In order to evaporate the material to be deposited in vacuum, containers are needed to support

or hold the evaporator, and evaporative heat is needed to bring the evaporator to a sufficiently

high temperature to produce the desired vapor pressure.

Vacuum evaporation coating technology has the characteristics of simple and convenient operation

and fast film forming speed.

It is widely used in coating technology which is mainly used in optical components, LED,

plate display and semiconductor discrete device coating.

Vacuum coating materials can be divided into metal/non-metallic particles evaporation,

oxide evaporation, fluoride evaporation and etc.
